Personal Information

I’m Class of 2026, from Lake Tahoe, Nevada. I attend South Tahoe High school Just wanted to introduce myself and give you a little insight into my life as a basketball player. This game has always been such a huge part of my life—I’m always working to make myself better and chase the goals I’ve set for myself, on and off the court.

As of the end of junior year, I have a 3.6 GPA and am really trying to push it even higher. This upcoming semester, all my classes are either dual credit or online through Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC), which is our local junior college. I decided to take on the challenge of these classes to push myself and finish strong for senior year. They also give me the chance to apply to colleges out of state and be more prepared for what’s next. I’ll get my updated transcripts posted as soon as possible.

Who is Caleb Holcomb?

Currently 5'10 and weighing 155 pounds. A SG/PG in the class of 2026, turning 18 in December. During my 24–25 season, I attended Damonte Ranch High School. In terms of statistics, it was a throwaway season; in terms of growth, I played with and against the Player of the Year and the second-place runner-up for Player of the Year every day during practice and at the gym. My mental, physical, and all-around skill set matured greatly throughout my time in Reno. Taking that year in 4A was the best thing I could have done for my development.

During the 24–25 season, I was a full-time varsity player. As mentioned earlier, my junior season was a throwaway in terms of stats, but when given the opportunity, I had a couple of good games.
On the season, my averages were:

  • P/G – 1.9

  • Ast/G – 0.4

  • Reb/G – 1.2

  • Stls/G – 0.3

These stats definitely won’t appeal to anybody, but they don’t reflect what I’m truly capable of as a player. My biggest strength is easily defense. Known for being a dedicated on-ball defender and an intelligent off-ball defender, I always compete, never take plays off, and have built a reputation for my speed and aggression. Offensively, I’m a good finisher, with my main roles being slashing and shooting. My biggest weakness is the use of my off-hand—although I can consistently get to my right, I still rely heavily on my left.

Throughout the past two summers and during my junior season, I worked extremely hard to make myself better—putting in more hours than anyone else in my area. Whether it meant waking up at 5 a.m. before school to get shots up, lifting six days a week, or grinding at the local gym until closing time, I’ve earned a reputation for being the first one in and the last one out. As mentioned on the home page, my biggest weakness has been the injuries that always seemed to set me back.

Outside of the court, I find enjoyment in surfing, playing spikeball at the beach, boating, and spending time in the wilderness. Although I attended school in Reno during my junior year, I took every opportunity to come back up to the lake to enjoy the water and beautiful views. I especially enjoy traveling, spending time with my family, and exploring new places. Known for both my art and my writing ability, I just find it difficult to carve out time to enjoy all of these things.
